Classic Sudoku
The goal is to fill the entire grid with symbols so that three simple rules are met:
- Each row must contain every symbol exactly once.
- Each column must contain every symbol exactly once.
- Each box must contain every symbol exactly once.
The symbols and box sizes change depending on the grid size you choose:
- 4x4 Grid: Uses numbers 1-4 with 2x2 boxes.
- 9x9 Grid: Uses numbers 1-9 with 3x3 boxes.
- 16x16 Grid: Uses 1-9 and A-G with 4x4 boxes.
Sudoku X
This variant follows all the rules of Classic Sudoku, with one additional constraint: the two main diagonals (from corner to corner) must also each contain every symbol exactly once.
Samurai Sudoku
Samurai Sudoku consists of five overlapping 9x9 grids. Each of the five grids must be solved according to Classic Sudoku rules. The overlapping regions must satisfy the rules for both grids they are a part of, making them the key to the puzzle.
Killer Sudoku
This variant adds a mathematical twist to the classic 9x9 puzzle. In addition to the standard rules, the grid is divided into "cages," marked by colored, dashed lines. Two extra rules apply:
- The sum of the numbers in each cage must equal the small number printed in its corner.
- A number cannot be repeated within the same cage.
Game Controls
- Hint: Reveals a correct number. The number of hints you get depends on the difficulty level.
- Reset: Clears all your entries from the board and resets the timer and mistake counter.
- Solve: Fills the entire puzzle with the correct solution, ending the game.
Scoring
Your score is calculated based on your performance:
- You start with a perfect score of 100.
- Points are deducted for mistakes, hints, and taking longer than the par time for the difficulty.
- Harder difficulties have harsher penalties for mistakes and hints.
- Aim for speed and accuracy to achieve the highest score!
